I like things that are earth-friendly. When time came to choose new blinds for my living room, I spent quite some time researching my options. The best alternative to my old plastic verticals were woven shades. They are usually made with bamboo that are interwoven with natural fibers. There are different colors and designs to choose from. In the summer I have a lot of sun on the side of the house where my living room is. I chose to have a lining in the back the shades to help me save on the energy costs. They also help save on heating bills in the winter. Woven shades used to be dark and unattractive. Today’s alternatives come in a variety of colors and styles and are eco-friendly as well.
