When your computer gets infected with a virus, the most important thing to do is to immediately run an anti virus scan. However there are some viruses that immediately infect drive c which homes the operating system, destabilizing every program in the computer, in such a case, it is important to format the whole pc. This ones happened to me and I had to format my computer using the windows xp service pac 2 cd that I had bought. not realizing that this will mean I reinstall all drivers again. After formatting and reinstalling windows again, I wondered how can i identify my motherboard so that i could download the pc sound drives to fully get my computer running. The procedure is simple just go to ‘start’ then click at ‘run’ on the small interphase that will appear, type ‘dxdiag’ and tab ‘enter’ to see the whole specs of your computer and motherboard.
