Since tinnitus is a very annoying and distracting illness, many medical experts are now focusing their attention in curing tinnitus.  There are now many methods to prevent, cure or lessen the effects of tinnitus. There are some treatments that involve medications but could sometimes make the condition even worse.  Recently, new treatment methods that don’t involve the use of drugs are being developed.  For instance, sound generators which are small electronic devices that fit in the ear can be used.  It creates a very gentle, pleasant sound to help conceal tinnitus. Another method that is also used for those who suffer tinnitus that won’t disappear is the acoustic neural stimulation.  This method uses a palm-sized device and headphones to send a broadband acoustic signal embedded in music.
