Use Disinfectants Frequently

Unfortunately, many of these cases could have been avoided through the use of proper cleaning of food preparation surfaces and thorough hand washings. It is not enough to remember to thoroughly cook your food, you must kill any bacteria that might have come from it off your counters and from your hands. The best way to do this is to keep a bottle of disinfectant cleaner handy in the kitchen and some hand disinfectant in your purse and use them both frequently.
