I was thrilled when I got a computer for Christmas last year.  Naturally I spent hours surfing the Internet and downloading everything I found interesting.  Along the way I got a pop up which told me the computer was infected with a virus.  The message said all I had to do was download Antivirus Soft and the program would solve my problem.  I followed directions and my computer began freezing. I had hundreds of pop ups appearing, too.  A friend told me the program I had installed was a fake and recommended a good antivirus soft removal program, which I used.  My computer is back to normal and I learned a valuable lesson about Internet scams.
